Content Portability

VDO allows subscribers to store media on the network and watch it wherever they are – Entertainment Anywhere. Customers can download content to their mobile phones over the cellular network, from a kiosk, using Wi-Fi, or from their PCs at home and then transfer them all in the same manner. In all cases, content is encrypted with individualized locks derived from the users’ identification which creates an unprecedented level of security and portability.

Customers can interchange content from their mobile phones with media libraries from their PCs. They can archive downloaded music or music videos onto their PCs. Conversely, they can locally upload media from their PCs to their mobile handset or can transfer that information remotely over the cellular network. Users can gift the music or music video content they are viewing by simply initiating the transaction from their PC. ViDeOnline’s o8 Media entertainment portal allows users to browse and select the specific title and designate the intended recipient as identified through his/her phone number. ViDeOnline’s network will download the content either over the air or by email depending on the respective user’s preference.
